v1.5.0 — October 23, 2026

Your tenants can join you on RentDera, and new landlords get a guided start.

• Your tenants can join you on RentDera — invite a tenant from their profile, on WhatsApp or by email, and they see their own rent, dues, payments and receipts, and how to reach you. Nothing else: not your other tenants, not your totals. It's optional; tracking their rent works exactly as before.
• Renting? If your landlord invites you, tap the link: sign up, confirm your WhatsApp number with a 6-digit code, and your rent is there. Rent from two landlords, or rent one place and let another, and switch between them from your profile.
• Your contact details — add the name, phone and email your tenants see, under Settings → Business.
• A guided start for new accounts — a few short steps: confirm your email with a 6-digit code (if you signed up with email), name your business, and go straight on to adding your first property, instead of meeting "you don't have permission". If you leave halfway, RentDera picks up where you stopped. Existing accounts see no change.
• Update prompts — RentDera tells you when a newer version is on Google Play, at most once a day, and takes you straight there. Rarely, when an old version can no longer work correctly, it asks you to update before continuing.
• No more surprise sign-outs — a weak or dropped connection no longer signs you out; RentDera keeps you signed in and tries again once you're back online.

v1.4.0 — September 23, 2026

Money out as well as money in, and the months that happened before RentDera did.

• Expenses and a monthly statement — record repairs, utility bills and anything else a property costs you, then see money in, money out and what's left for any month, per currency. Deposits you're holding are shown separately, because they aren't yours to count as income.
• Money that predates the app — log a deposit taken at move-in, an advance a tenant paid ahead, or arrears carried over from paper, even for months RentDera never generated a bill for. A unit now shows what was agreed, what was actually received, and what's still left to spend.
• Put an advance toward a bill — money a tenant paid ahead can go onto an unpaid month in one tap, from the unit screen or the bill itself, and be taken back off if you apply it to the wrong one.
• Bikram Sambat dates — see billing periods in BS, AD, or both.
• A clearer unit screen — it now names the building the unit is in, totals what's outstanding across all its bills instead of leaving you to add them up, and marks a deposit as settled once it's fully received.
• RentDera Pro — the free plan now covers one property and five units. Every feature still works on both plans; the plan only decides how much you can manage. Nothing you've already recorded is affected, and if you're above five units today you keep them.
• Asking for a password reset code now paces itself instead of letting you request them in a loop, and says when you've asked too often rather than failing silently.
• Assorted polish and bug fixes across the app.

A faster, more trustworthy ledger and a complete home dashboard.

• The Ledger tab now opens in a single request — the screen that lists every unpaid bill across your portfolio used to make dozens of calls and could take 15–30 seconds on a larger portfolio. It now loads in one, so it's fast even on a slow connection.
• A complete home dashboard — below your collected / outstanding figures you now get a recent activity feed, an actionable list of your vacant units, and a 12-month income trend chart, all on one screen.
• Money figures you can trust — we ran a deliberate pass over every path money takes through the app and corrected several figures that could be wrong in edge cases: outstanding totals when one tenant has overpaid and another is behind, meter reading rounding, payments recorded in the wrong currency, and a mistyped discount dragging your totals negative. Your dashboard and ledger now agree to the rupee.
• Restore a removed metered charge — undoing a removed charge now works for electricity and water (metered) charges too, not just regular ones, and the restore is permanent across every device.
• Every bill shows whose it is — the due screen now shows the tenant, property, and unit a bill belongs to, so you can't record a payment against the wrong one.
• Property list at a glance — each property now shows its unit count and total rent right in the list.
• Connected accounts in Settings — a new section shows which sign-in methods (email/password, Google) are attached to your account, so you always know how you sign in.
• More reliable reminders and receipts — email delivery no longer stalls when the notification service has been idle, so the messages you send actually go out.
• Guided setup for new accounts — a simple checklist walks new landlords through adding their first property and unit instead of landing on an empty dashboard.
• Fully rented? Occupancy now shows a clear "100% Occupied" success state with a green progress bar.
• Assorted polish and bug fixes across the app.

• Cancel a month you shouldn't have billed — a tenant who never moved in — and undo it again if you cancel the wrong one.
• Removed a charge by mistake? Restore it onto the bill you took it off, exactly as it was. Metered electricity and water charges can't be restored yet.
• See what the rent used to be, and when it changed, on the unit's own screen.
• When a tenant hands over a round figure that comes to more than the bill, the extra now shows as credit on that month instead of a balance of zero.
• Fixed: adding a charge to a month a tenant had already overpaid was refused when it shouldn't have been.
• Clearer message when RentDera's server can't be reached, so you're not left checking a connection that was never the problem.
